Our Story
I was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease since 9th grade of highschool but it was manageable. Then recently I was pregnant with Samia and my kidneys was doing ok until I hit 20 weeks and they started to fail but I didn’t get on dialysis until 25weeks of pregnancy. Due to dialysis being hard on my body and baby she end up being delivered at 27 weeks and 2 days for not being in a healthy environment hence my kidneys. My baby was born December 26 , 2021 via c section. Weighing 600grams intubated in St. John hospital. I didn’t get to see her for two days due to my pressure being to high I had to be in icu and get dialysis and a blood transfusion the next day . At first I was acute , now I am end stage renal disease and I have to wait to get an transplant either from a deceased donor or live donor. Me and my baby are medically complex.
